The "SKOUGE" is a cross between the skew and the gouge. It produces the benefits of those tools while minimizing the negatives. The "Skouge" is available in 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4". All "Skouges" are made of A-11 tool steel with hardwood handles. All CALIE products are made in the USA.

CALIE Pen Mandrels and Spur Center Drives

The CALIE "Turn Them Right" Pen Mandrels are also the smallest spur center drives on the market. You get two tools in one. They are precisely manufactured of stainless steel. These mandrels are available in MT #1, MT #2, 5/8" Shopsmith arbor/shaft, and for lathes with a 3/4"X 16 threaded arbor/shaft. The CALIE pen mandrels have a family of bushings to turn various pen styles or perfume applicators. All CALIE products are made in the USA.

CALIE offers four different bushing sets for our Pen Mandrels. The bushings are made of stainless steel and are available for Parker style roller ball and fountain pens, Cross style 7 mm pens and pencils, and Parker style double twist and push click, and perfume applicator pens. CALIE is proud to offer Micro-Mesh®. Micro-Mesh® is a cloth back cushioned abrasive for producing a very fine and uniform scratch pattern. We offer a package of 9 different grits from 1500 up to 12,000. The 1500 is a bit coarser than 600 grit sandpaper and the 12,000 produces a scratch pattern that is undetectable by the human eye. One package contains a 3" X 6" piece of 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12,000.

CALIE Trueing Springs are designed to be used with the "Turn Them Right" mandrel system to true up (make concentric) pen blanks on the lathe. Each package contains 4 color coded springs.
